What are Sunday services like?
Although you will notice some variety from week to week, our services generally consist of
What should I wear? Dress at our church is always eclectic and informal. You are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable. Are services held year-round? Except for the rare occasion when inclement weather forces cancellation, Sunday services are held every week. In the summer (June through August) we hold services in the Fellowship Hall in the basement to appreciate the cooler temperatures. Are children welcome? Children are encouraged to participate in our services. Childcare is provided for young children in our nursery. Where do I come? Welcome!
We will be happy for you to visit us on any Sunday. You will find the Oaklandon congregation to be warm and friendly and somewhat informal. If you would like more information about our congregation or about Unitarian Universalism, don't hesitate to ask a greeter or church leader. You might find our Newcomer packet to be helpful and there is also other information available at the back of the sanctuary, including the option of signing up for our mailing list. Also, we invite you to join us for coffee and fellowship after the service. To learn more about what's happening on upcoming Sundays click at left. |
